WHITESPACE
Whitespace
Whitespace is an esoteric programming language developed by Edwin Brady and Chris Morris at the University of Durham . It was released on 1 April 2003 . Its name is a reference to whitespace characters. Unlike most programming languages, which ignore or assign little meaning to most whitespace characters, the Whitespace interpreter ignores any non-whitespace characters. Only spaces, tabs and linefeeds have meaning. An interesting consequence of this property is that a Whitespace program can easily be contained within the whitespace characters of a program written in another language, except possibly in languages which depend on spaces for syntax validity such as ...The above text is a snippet from Wikipedia: Whitespace (programming language)

White space
In page layout, illustration and sculpture, white space is often referred to as negative space. It is the portion of a page left unmarked: margins, gutters, and space between columns, lines of type, graphics, figures, or objects drawn or depicted. The term arises from graphic design practice, where printing processes generally use white paper. White space should not be considered merely 'blank' space — it is an important element of design which enables the objects in it to exist at all; the balance between positive and the use of negative spaces is key to aesthetic composition. Inexpert use of white space, however, can make a page appear incomplete. The above text is a snippet from Wikipedia: White space (visual arts)
