"Shake It" is a song by American pop group Metro Station released as the third single from their self-titled debut album. It is their first charting single, peaking at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Internationally, "Shake It" was a top ten hit in Australia, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, Japan, Austria, Germany and New Zealand. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 13, 2008 and later Platinum that year, until finally reaching 2x Platinum status at the end of January 2009.
