One in a Million is the second studio album by American R&B recording artist Aaliyah, first released on August 27, 1996 by Blackground Records and Atlantic Records, after publicly ending her contract with Jive Records after facing allegations of an illegal marriage with R. Kelly. The album was recorded from August 1995 to July 1996 with a variety of producers including Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Carl-So-Lowe, J. Dibbs, Jermaine Dupri, Kay Gee, Vincent Herbert, Rodney Jerkins, Craig King, Darren Lighty, Darryl Simmons. The album featured several guest vocalists, including Missy Elliot, Timbaland, Treach, Slick Rick and Tank.
