Homomorphism

In abstract algebra, a homomorphism is a structure-preserving map between two algebraic structures . The word homomorphism comes from the ancient Greek language: ὁμός meaning "same" and μορφή meaning "shape". Isomorphisms, automorphisms, and endomorphisms are special types of homomorphisms.
