Mark Anthony "Baz" Luhrmann is an Australian film director, screenwriter and producer best known for The Red Curtain Trilogy, which includes his films Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet, and Moulin Rouge!. In 2008, he released his film Australia, starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. His most recent film, a new, re-imagined version of The Great Gatsby, was released on 10 May 2013.
