Vavá, real name Edvaldo Izídio Neto, was an association footballer who is widely considered one of the best strikers of his generation. His nickname was "Peito de Aço" . He played as a full striker whose only role was to score goals, which he did for Sport Club do Recife, C.R. Vasco da Gama, S.E.
