Skid Row

Skid Row is an American metal band, formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey. They were very successful in the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their first three multi-platinum albums. In their years of greatest success the band consisted of Sebastian Bach, Dave "The Snake" Sabo, Scotti Hill, Rachel Bolan and Rob Affuso . As of 2010, the band consists of Sabo, Hill, Bolan, Johnny Solinger, and Rob Hammersmith . At the end of 1996 the band had sold 20 million albums worldwide

Skid row

Skid row or skid road is a shabby urban area with cheap taverns, dive bars, and dilapidated hotels frequented by lowlifes, alcoholics, and itinerants. The term skid road was originally referred to the path along which timber workers skidded logs. Its current sense appears to have originated in the Pacific Northwest. Areas identified by this name include Pioneer Square in Seattle; Old Town Chinatown, Portland, Oregon; Downtown Eastside in Vancouver; Skid Row in Los Angeles, San Francisco's Tenderloin District, Montreal's Saint Catherine street's District and the Bowery section in lower Manhattan.
