SILESIANS

Silesians

Silesians are the inhabitants of Silesia region, located in a territory divided by the current boundaries of Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic. It is also considered that Silesians belong to a Polish ethnographic group, and speak a dialect of Polish. They are of Slavic extraction; but because Silesia for a long time belonged to Germany, they have been deeply influenced by German culture.
