SEALEVEL

Sea level

Mean sea level is a datum representing the average height of the ocean's surface ; used as a standard in reckoning land elevation. MSL also plays an important role in marine navigation as a chart datum and aviation, where standard sea level pressure is used as the measurement datum of altitude at flight levels. Detection of long-term variations of mean sea level requires careful measurement but can provide information on climate change. Over geologic time, sea levels have changed dramatically.

Sea Level

Sea Level is the name of a Southern rock/funk/fusion group that mixed jazz, blues and rock and existed between 1976 and 1981. Initially it was an offshoot of The Allman Brothers Band, but as tensions grew between the loss of two of its founding members and personal grievances between Gregg Allman and other band mates and associates, Sea Level took on a life of its own as an independent band.
