Kalaallisut
Kalaallisut is the main dialect of the Greenlandic language. It is spoken by approximately 45,000 people. Kalaallisut is the official dialect of Greenland and is spoken in the Western and Southern regions of Greenland, including the capital and largest town in Greenland, Nuuk. The other dialects in Greenland include Tunumiit oraasiat and Avanersuaq, which are the second and third most spoken dialects in Greenland respectively. Danish is taught in all Greenlandic schools, therefore most speakers of Kalaallisut have knowledge of or speak Danish.
