Breakaway is the second studio album by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson, released on November 30, 2004 in the United States through RCA Records. The album is a follow-up to her successful debut album, Thankful . Executive produced by Clive Davis, Breakaway features Clarkson collaborating with various producers and songwriters for the first time, primarily Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Avril Lavigne, Kara DioGuardi, Ben Moody, and David Hodges, with the latter two being the former members of the rock band Evanescence.

Break Away

"Break Away" is a song recorded by The Beach Boys in 1969. It was written by Brian Wilson and his father Murry Wilson, who is credited as lyricist under the pseudonym "Reggie Dunbar". The single was relatively unsuccessful compared to the groups releases, and charted at #63 in US Billboard . "Break Away" sold better abroad, reaching #6 on the United Kingdom charts.
