So what is this?

Crossword Dash is a bluffing game where you are provided with entries from a terrible crossword. You then make up your own clue to this entry, to try to fool others into thinking your clue was correct. Then, everyone votes on which one they think was correct. You get points for guessing the correct answer, and for fooling others into thinking yours was correct! You can also get "like" points, if you want to go for style.

How bad are these clues?

Pretty bad. I have seen everything, from factual inaccuracies, to misspellings, to repeats of information. Here are some examples from a 2011 crossword:
EntryClue
RNASERibonuclease
EAGANMN 55120
AVOMacao monetary unit
ROAsk at O'Donnell's Web page
XOSASXhosas (alt sp.)
KEVKiloelectron volts
As you can see, just about anything goes. So don't worry if you've never written a crossword clue before -- whatever you write will fit in just fine.
